How do I install ink cartridges in my HP OfficeJet 4650?

1. Turn on the printer. Make sure there's paper in the tray.
2. Lift the ink cartridge access door and lock it in place.
3. Wait for the ink cartridge carriage to move and stop in the center of the printer.
4. Lift the lid on the ink cartridge slot to expose the cartridge inside.
5. Pull the ink cartridge up from the slot to remove it.
6. Remove packaging from new ink cartridge. Shake the cartridge gently before removing protective plastic tape.
7. Be sure not to touch the contacts or nozzles as this might damage the cartridge and cause printing problems.
8. Slide the new cartridge into the empty slot. Make sure the cartridge is secured and then close the lid. If you are unable to close the lid, it might mean the cartridge isn't fully installed in the slot.
9. Close the cartridge access door and wait for your printer to recognize the new cartridge and print an alignment page.
10. Take printed alignment page and place it on the scanner, print side down. Close scanner lid, hit OK.
11. The HP 4652 should then align your ink cartridges.
